1st Lady

1st Lady Meredith Dianna Smith, affectionately known as "Lady Di" is the faithful wife of Bishop Donald L. Smith, Senior Pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church.
1st Lady Smith was born in Ashville, North Carolina and is the daughter of the late Mr. Napoleon Spencer and Mrs. Bernice Spencer. She has two brothers, Danny and Napoleon, Jr. and two sisters, Venita and Rosella. She graduated from Charles D. Owen High School in Swannanoa, NC and married her high school sweetheart, Donald L. Smith.
She is the wonderful mother of 2 adult children: Elder Jerry Smith and Unita Smith, and is currently working full-time as the Director of the Greater Mount Calvary Christian Preschool & Academy “Sunbeam”.

1985 - She joined the Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Triangle, Virginia.

1985 – She started a new career at the Northern Virginia Training Center in Burke, VA.

1990 – She was employed by Kaiser Permanente.

1990 – She became the First Lady of Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church.

1999 – She resigned from Kaiser Permanente and was employed as Director of Greater Mount Calvary Christian Preschool & Academy. Currently – She is in the process of acquiring an education in Liberal Arts, focusing on Early Childhood Education.

2000—Began her education for a Liberal Arts degree, focusing on Early Childhood Education

2002—Began the “Ministers’ Wives Ministry”

2004—Graduated w/Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education

2005—Overseer of Greater Mt. Calvary Christian Preschool and Academy renovations

Mrs. Meredith Dianna Smith has faithfully served in this ministry as a Deaconess, Director of Christian Education, and Chairperson of the Women's, Nurses', Ushers', Culinary and Wedding Ministries.

She is the Vice President of The Whole Truth Ministries, a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and serves as Treasurer of Prince William County's Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows Non-Denominational Alliance. Her hobbies consist of tennis, golf and quiet times at home.

Our 1st Lady is definitely “A Woman of FLAVOR” in this ministry as she touches the lives of many children, women and families of Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church. Today we honor her!
